Delivery

Last updated: 5 October 2026

Every box is packed by hand at Telfit Farm and sent frozen by DPD, so it arrives ready to go straight into your freezer. Delivery is always free.

Where we deliver

We deliver across mainland England, Wales and Scotland. We can’t yet deliver to the Scottish Highlands and islands, Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, the Isles of Scilly or the Channel Islands, because we can’t guarantee your box would arrive frozen.

Not sure if you’re covered? Email hello@butcherben.co.uk before you order and we’ll check for you.

When it arrives

Boxes arrive Tuesday to Saturday, on the delivery day you choose when you build your box. Your first box can arrive as soon as 3 days after you order; you choose the date as you build your box.

DPD will text you a delivery window on the day. There’s nothing to sign, so your box can wait in your safe place if you’re out.

How it stays cold

Every box is insulated with sheep’s-wool liners and packed with food-safe gel ice. The meat is flash-frozen at the farm, so it stays frozen or fridge-cold for at least 36 hours after delivery - even if you are out when it arrives.

There is no need for you to be home. The courier will leave it in a safe place or with a neighbour if you tell them where.

After it arrives

Move the meat into your freezer or fridge as soon as you can. Anything you want to eat in the next two or three days can go straight in the fridge; everything else into the freezer.

The wool liner can be composted or popped back in a future box for us to reuse. The gel packs can be cut open, the gel poured down the sink with hot water, and the plastic recycled.

Delivery charges

Delivery is free on every box, every time.

If something goes wrong

If your box is late, damaged, or doesn’t arrive at all, email hello@butcherben.co.uk within 48 hours and we will sort it. We will refund or replace any item that arrives in less than perfect condition - no need to send anything back.
